Meet Kay

Hi, I’m Kay Pence
I decided to run because I could not stand by as Corporate Kim Reynolds, Norlin Mommsen and the rest of the Corporate Republicans in Des Moines attacked teachers, workers and ignored the quality of life for rural Iowans.
I was born and raised in Donahue Iowa and still live in rural Scott County. I hold a bachelor of arts degree from Marycrest University and earned an MBA from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA.
I worked 27 years as a telephone technician before working full time for my union, the Communications Worker of America.
My husband Mike and I have three sons and 6 grandchildren, we will celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary in July.
Since retirement I’ve stayed active in various environmental and social justice organizations. I currently serve as the Iowa Alliance for Retired Americans vice president and as a board member of the Partners of Scott County Watersheds.
